by Casey Heinzism DNatureofDTrain

I wanted to end this book with my own detailed story about what happened in Casey Jones wreck that he died in. I am not able to write about this at this time.

But, I feel this is better in the sequel...

Hawk Spirit, Spirit Warrior, Keeper of the Tracks.

So to close out this book.

I leave you all. With this.
Thank you all, for your love,

Casey Jones

Come along ye rounder for I want you to hear
the grande ol story of a brave engineer

Casey Jones was he rounders name
on a big eight wheeler boys he had won his fame..

Casey was called in, at half past 11..
Then kissed his wife,
before his final trip to heaven..

He mounted to the cabin with his orders in his hands
as he took his farewell trip to the promiseland..

Metal wheels still screaming,
going from memphis to vaughn,
riding on the rails of casey jones song..

la la da de da da..
going off the rails of casey's crazy train ...

It was late just got off a long hard run,

Volunteered back to work to get the job done.

Had a good repuation and high seniority,

I could not disapoint the railroad's majority.

Lewis had taken ill with cramps,

The track was flooded the air was still damp.

I was tired and needed to get the job done,

On time to Canton I thought this train would run.

He looked as his water,
and his water was low..

He looked at his watch and his watch was slow..

He turned to his fireman and this is what he said..

Boy were gonna reach canton, it's straight ahead..

Metal wheels still screaming
switchman new the engines moans

Riding on the rails it was casey jones
going off the rails of casey's crazy train

We had left a half hour behind time,

The destiny was set for me to see the divine.

I knew my life was gonna be cut short,

so a race onto Canton so I could restort.

I want to see my wife and children again.

I knew that my life was soon gonna end.

But I had no idea it was to be that night,

I pulled open the throttle to get the job done right.

Pour on your water and shovel in your coal,

I'll run here till she leaves the rails

watch those drivers roll I will never fail!

The track was to be open and clear,

Highballing down the High Iron felt so good and so dear.

Until we rounded that curve outside of Vaughan,

The torpedo went off and our attention was on.

Sim said, "Casey you better slow down"

I said it is for the north switch we are southbound.

When we were within 11 miles of the place,

The rear of the caboose stood us straight in the face.

He turned to his fireman and and he said he'd better jump,

Casey said not to worry there is nothing to bump

Casey then saw the rear lights two he told sim to jump
and he said you'd better jump too..

We had looked for the flagman and I couldn't see.

Until the caboose was in front of me.

Newberry stood there at his post,

he was to close to the caboose I had noticed.

I had through the Johnsonbar into reverse,

threw open the sanders, and hoped not the worst.

I had yelled at Sim to jump,

and stayed at my post knowing my life was done.

As I rode into splinters and the debree,

I thanked the Lord, for the good life he had given me.

My last thoughts were of my children and wife,

because I didn't slow down I have caused other's strife.

I had gone into the "promised land",

four days and four nights, It was a hard hand.

Casey Jones was the railroad man,

Tales and Hidden Truths that were nobel and grande

What is the true story, Will we ever know?

Casey had carried it within his soul.

Metal wheels still screaming

headaches heartaches and pains

all roll along as he whistled to his fame

Ridin' off the rails of casey's crazy train.

I could hear all my loved ones cry out my name,

and also hear some claiming me to blame.

Now I feel guilty for taking my own life,

I didn't slow down and caused my family strife.

They do not think that I know,

That I saved other passengers, that were on the go.

I do know if I purged on the spot,

It wouldn't have been just me that was dead, but others and alot.

I have given my life for stopping a train,

and saved many others and put myself to shame.
